Introduction

This course is designed for beginners wishing to start studying this elegant Chinese martial art. For those who wish to improve their flexibility, strength, coordination, memory, balance and overall health, both mentally and emotionally aswell as physically. At the same time - meet a wonderful group of like minded individuals and make new friends.

What do we do?

A great way to start the week! This Monday morning class at Ty Newydd Community Centre, Rhyl is ideal for beginners as the session introduces students via a simplified Yang style form, 8 Step Yang - very simple and quick to learn followed by the British 24 Step by Huang Jifu.
Explanation and practice of medical Qiqong for improving health and fitness levels along with other disciplines including meditation. Experience not required and all levels of ability are welcome as exercises can be adapted to the individual student's requirements. Loose fitting clothes and trainers or other flat soled shoes ideal. Parking available.

About Gaynor Gaynor
Gaynor, pictured in action here as a student with Professor Li De Yin has over a decade of successfully teaching beginners Tai Chi and associated disciplines.
Gaynor is the Dragon In The Hills' principle teacher, with beginners and improvers alike meeting up regularly at a range of sessions throughout the Vale of Clwyd and surrounding areas.
Emphasis is on learning the basics well and Simplified Yang Style is an ideal starting place. Gaynor is always keen to help and support students explore and play with activities such as partnerwork along with other Taiji disciplines.
Gaynor's classes have grown in popularity over the past 12 years, as they are a light hearted and fun environment in which to study and practise.
A saying by George Bernard Shaw is apt in these classes - "We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing" !

Affiliations
Dragon In The Hills and affiliates of Dragon In The Hills enjoy the wider experience provided by the communitys' instuctors, who lead classes flavoured with their individual skills. Students may also benefit from the highly respected instructors invited to the Vale regularly for workshops.
2009 respected instructors have included Faye Li Yip, Linda Griffiths, Glyn O. Jones to date.
