Welcome to the taiji tavern ett Smiley Want a pint of qi?

Man meditating hurts me too, usually the middle of my back, but i found guiding the breath to the place it hurts relieves it a bit, or just taken deeper breaths to get enough oxygen there, but it might not be so effective on legs. But my legs go dead too. My advice....be afraid... lol

I have to say one of my most painful memories, along with cycling in sub zero temperatures without gloves, and walking into a very well polished glass door...is when i was meditating in that zen class in nantes...which happened to be in the room next to that glass door....darn evil buddhists!

(only joking linda;)

Am i destroying morale here?

Good to know I'm not the only one experiencing pain. Thanks for your posts. Steve, I'll try to follow your advice - 'It's only pain'  Wink
The hardest part is to unfold legs and stand right after meditating; that is horrendously excruciating!
Anyway, dunno about you but I'm really looking forward to that course!

If you have pain,it means you are not empty of blockages in the legs yet. The discomfort goes away once the meridians are freed up.

There will be prolonged periods of sitting but there will also be a lot of stretching and pracdtice according to the Marrow/washing Classic.

More than any other course, this one has caused concern and worry amongst people attending. Can I just say to everybody...DONT WORRY... It will be fine, uncomfortable physically and emotionally at the time but you will survive!!!

Easy for the boss to say 'don't worry' - he can stand there and laugh at us struggling Sad

And if surviving is anything like the course at the end of January *gulp* then yes, we have every right to be worried!!!

It is OK, Grasshopper. I have seen the agenda for the weekend, and nowhere does it say anything about shoulder separations this time - we're just going to be sitting around, and catching a couple of stories. Looks like Damo will be doing all the work this time!

I seem to remember someone telling me that there was a knack to finding "the Swiss Cottage". What is the easiest way to get to little Switzerland from Street?

Put the postcode in Google maps! BA16 OTZ. It takes about 10 mins to get there from Glasto according to Google.

Concentrate Zom concentrate - sitting at the back online ho hum, whatever next!

How's your legs by the way? I didn't get a chance to ask you earlier.

See you tomorrow with more cabbage (only a joke, I have the cherry coke at the ready)
