Master Kam Lau

Many thanks to Stan Boyd for the notice on this seminar series by Master Kam Lau on March 8th. You can find out more about the seminar here.

Timetable:

10:00am - 11:00am: Revision of the Chen Style Cannon Fist Form (Pao Cui) - restricted to students who have attended Chen Xiao Wang's seminar. Cost £5

11:00am - 1:00pm: Chen Style “New Frame” Form (Xinjia Yi-Lu)
Grandmaster Chen’s Grandfather Chen Fa-Ke created the “New Frame” Taiji form in the early 19 century, it is widely practised in Beijing and Shanghai. It is a very flowing form with some surprising and inspiring moves in it. Cost £15.00

2:00 - 5:00pm: Chen Jian (Straight Sword), Part 2.
Continuing Master Lau's ongoing study of Chen "Jian", this is the second part of the sword form. This workshop is only open to students who have attended the previous workshops or Grandmaster Chen’s Jian seminar. Cost: £25.

This is a great opportunity to receive expert instruction from Master Kam Lau, 12th generation Chen Style Taiji Master and one of the top disciples of Grandmaster Chen Xiao Wang, he is a leading exponent of Chen Style Taijiquan in the U.K. and Europe.

The Xinjia Yi-Lu Taijiquan workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced students. No prior experience is needed. We also warmly welcome members and instructors of other martial arts schools who may wish to experience the difference that Chen Style Taiji has to offer.

What another terrific day of workshops! Yesterday was the first time I got to Holly Lodge without getting lost. Relief. Thanks to Kam, and Stan, Dave, and Steve too for everything. Really neat to see Glyn Jones and the 'Dyrny crew too!

Good luck with the April event - you are all looking in great shape for the trip to Oxford!

Smiley

Cabbage, you say?

Funny you should say that - half the people here, me included were on one of those last month. Thing is, we got to eat rice, too!
