Sunday 5th July 2009

Glyn O. Jones

Llanbedr Village Hall

--------------------------------
10 a.m. - 12.30 p.m.
Lunch (Bring something to share)
1.30 p.m. - 4.00 p.m.
--------------------------------

£28 for the day or £15 per session

Starting the day gently through meditation then with a series of fluid movements to improve our flexibility.

After a shared lunch, there will be sensitivity and partnerwork which will prove helpful in understanding martial applications.

Finishing this session with a Heart meditation practice.

Glyn O. Jones is returning to his roots here in North Wales this Sunday and is offering us a unique day of opening and stretching, our bodies, hearts and minds.

Originally from the Denbigh area and now based in Mid Wales, Glyn has been training in the art of Taiji Quan for over 25 years, having previously studied Ayengar Yoga.
Since 1982, Glyn's principal teacher has been Tew Bunnag - a Thai meditation teacher.
Other teachers have helped Glyn on his journey including Bo Ou Nander since 1993 and Wenlin Jun and from 1995, Glyn has trained with Grand Master Chen Xiao Wang.

The day is open to all who wish to deepen their taiji training.
Glyn is a good friend of Dragon in the Hills Community Taiji and we hope he will be visiting again this Autumn.

If you have any questions about the above, please post them here and I shall reply as soon as possible or see your teacher in class.

Yes - Glyn is a really good and gentle man and I am looking forward to having the opportunity to train with him again.

Maybe another time heh? You would be welcome to come and stay at mine!

Might just take you up on that kind offer Gaynor - It's years since I visited anywhere north of Brecon and I would love to meet him.

Got to try to get my silly legs working properly again first - fingers crossed x

Glyn sounds lovely, a soft gentle person with his experience sounds just up my street.

There has been a positive response in classes about Glyn coming up for the above referenced workshop, I would appreciate knowing if you're attending.

Remember that the session will also be fine for beginners and it's a lovely way to be introduced to the world of Taiji and Qigong.

I know there will be teachers from the Dragon in the Hills Community Tai Chi there and you can meet them and perhaps then enjoy regular sessions in and around the Vale of Clwyd, Wrexham, Rhyl and beyond.

So please either send a personal message to me or post here your intentions, thanking you in advance for your cooperation.

A little note:

It would be worthwhile bringing a cushion to sit on and a blanket (for the meditation) Not essential as there are chairs available aswell.

Looking forward to tomorrow and seeing Glyn and everyone!
